Aside from shoes, food is fast becoming my favourite thing, and recently I've been meeting lots of great people down here in Brighton that also feel the same. Some of them even make the lovely food I go on about across social media.
The other week I was invited to my first ever supper club in Brighton. Hosted by Ed Heller who, seems to be the busiest chef in town right now having taken over The Brunswick pub, The Manor Cafe and very recently The Fiddler's Elbow pub, plus he lives in Berkshire with his own micro farm and travels to Brighton everyday (I'm exhausted thinking about it!). FYI, Ed also supplies chillies to the infamous RibMan who makes his 'Holy F**k' sauce out of them.
His 'Nose to Tail' supper club was held at The Manor cafe in the north Laines. We ate our way through six courses all (bar the dessert) including rare breed white pig. All of the pig was used as Ed doesn't like seeing anything go to waste. The meal included a delicious terrine and Quails egg Scotch egg, pork burger with Brighton Blue cheese, ribs, Pork belly and Ed's take on an Eton Mess.
If you live in Brighton or, have a little trip planned, make sure you go to one of his establishments. You're in for a right old treat!
