As the weather has got somewhat nippy over the last few days (even a little bit of the white stuff made an appearance) I thought it would be the perfect time to wheel out my faux fur high street edit.
I love a bit of faux fur, and will always get out my cosy coat when the temperature drops to single digits. Gone are the days of it being deemed 'tacky' faux fur is everywhere this season - from bags, to shoes to the trusty faux fur coat, practically every store on the high street will have some of the oh-so-cosy material in some shape or form.
Check out my edit above. The best places to hit are the usual - Topshop, River Island, ASOS and H&M. However those pom pom heels were love at first sight, and are going straight on my Christmas wish list!

'Mean Girls' pencils, Colour-in London Map, Personalised Nutella, 2016 Diary, Unicorn pouch, Nut cracker, Mug, Inflatable crown, Trinket dish
I'm starting my Christmas gift guide series a little earlier than normal this year, as I'm breaking it down and adding in some new categories for you all. This one is perfect for if you're on a tight budget, or if you're taking part in a secret Santa in the office or amongst friends.
From a totally awesome (and somewhat hilarious) pouch to store bits and bobs in, to a nut cracker disguised as a robot, everything above is £20 and under, and available online. I've got my eye on the very large personalised jar of Nutella - this may be one gift 'idea' I nab for myself.
Printed Shirt, Jumpsuit, Dress, Ankle Boots, Stripe top, Cold-shoulder dress, Skirt, Tshirt, Shirt, Earrings, Coat
Whistles is one of those stores that I've only recently started to visit on a regular basis. It's where my love for the slogan sweatshirts started and, although it may be a little expensive for some people, the quality is brilliant and they have some seriously stylish pieces for the wardrobe this season.
With this in mind, I've decided that this weeks edit is dedicated to them. Great for work, play and nights out, Whistles is the perfect go to brand for chic, wardrobe staples. Most pieces I've purchased recently from the brand for my little capsule wardrobe experiment, are perfect dress-up/dress-down numbers – the best excuse for splashing that little bit more cash.
The Lola dress is my favourite purchase at the moment. I have it in black (obviously) but I also have my eye on the khaki version above. With new pieces dropping each week, it's hard to stay away - I've already had to have a little talk with myself this month but, some of the pieces above will be coming home with me next pay day for sure.
It doesn't seem that long ago that I did a beauty wish list, but it's that time of year, where the big beauty brands are bringing out their 'Holiday' collections, and I for one am not complaining! Think of these new beauty collections as the perfect items to see you through the new season, as well as a little glamour for the Festive period. Although, I already have something in the pipeline for a Festive beauty look so, watch this space.
Ever since NARS announced they would be teaming up with Steven Klein for their Holiday collection, I've been curious to see what it would be like. The NARS Fantascene collection launched in the UK last week, and there are several pieces that are now high up on my wish list - the Fantascene single eyeshadows in 'Never too late' and Stud are perfect shades for the new season. As for the a Woman's face neutral Lip set - for under £30 for a lipstick, lip pencil and lip liner, you have got yourself a bargain right there. I can see a trip to my nearest NARS beauty counter happening very soon.
Chanel's Christmas collection is based around their best-selling, Le Vernis Rouge Noir which is 20-years old! I have this shade, and for some bizarre reason I only get it when I visit Paris. It's become sort of a tradition for me to pop in to one of their stores and pick it up - I even got a bottle for my mum last Christmas. The CHANEL Le Top Coat Lamé Rouge Noir is a gorgeous bottle of sparkles - I mean it was love at first sight for my rose-gold obsession. I can imagine this looks a beaut over the Rouge Noir shade. Although, trying to get myself a bottle of this is proving a little tricky - always the way with new Chanel nail colours.
There's quite a few eye products in this post! However, this Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights eye palette is all sorts of beautiful. I've already had a little play with this on my last trip to one of their makeup counters, and I had to restrain myself not to purchase it (to be fair, I'd bought another eye palette that morning). Mix-and-match shades to create a nude, smokey eye or something a little bolder. I can't stop thinking about it so, it's definitely going in my basket when the new Brighton store opens!
One of the Holiday collections I look out for each years is by Mac. After my love for last years collection by the brand, this one is a whole lot of different. Magic of the Night includes eye, lip, and face compacts, mini brush sets, colourful pigments, and more - all packaged in jewel tone packaging *swoons*. Mac also have another collection called Enchanted Eve - full of gorgeous sets including the Enchanted Eve Lip and Eye Bag in Copper and Eye Bag in Plum. I know where I'll be making a pit stop next time I'm in town.
This Charlotte Tilbury make up bag is perfect for chucking all my beauty products in. Plus, the zip pull is a mini lipstick - cute! We all know I'm a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury, and I don't see that going away anytime soon. Her Christmas gifting collection is full of little trinkets and treasures - perfect for stocking fillers. More on that in a few weeks...
I've not worn foundation in years and, when I say years, I'm talking at least most of my twenties. I'm more of a tinted moisturiser gal as I, nor my skin can't stand that heavy feeling you get when you're wearing a lot of makeup. CT's most raved about product to date, the Magic Foundation was something I was very excited about - and the hype seemed to be real, so with Winter coming and my Summer glow a thing of the past it was time to see what all the fuss was about, so off I trudged to Selfridges.
The details
It's been described as a 'flawless, poreless, long-lasting' formula, with a whopping 15 shades in total. It's £29.50 for 30ml and comes in the most gorgeous glass bottle with a rose gold lid. I mean, the packaging for me was a winner but then again I'm a massive magpie when it comes to all things rose gold. There's a pump application that deposits a good enough amount and although the formula is quite thick, it blends like a dream with the coverage being medium to full.
As I said, it blends well - I slap on my Flash balm by Elemis before, and use my Bobbi Brown Full Coverage face brush to apply and blend it all in. It lasts most of the day for me, with the odd touch up if I'm staying out past my (usual) bed time.
The one thing that majorly sold it to me? The finish - It looks natural, feels light on my skin and isn't too matte or shiny.
Now, this is where I would've ended the post...if it hadn't been for another CT purchase that happened to slip into my basket whilst at the counter. Those Beauty counter gals and guys know how to sell their stuff.
On the same day that the Magic Foundation launched, the Mini Miracle Eye Wand also did. This product was five years in the making, and I'd been thinking about going on the hunt to replace my beauty staple, Touche Eclat for a while now.
This little pen is described as creating the appearance of 8 hours sleep in two clicks by expertly covering dark circles and lines, smoothing out bags or hollows, brightening the eye contour and hydrating the skin’s surface for a dewy, luminous finish.
I wouldn't say it gives me that exact appearance but, it certainly conceals the grey bags under my eyes more successfully than the other eye pen in my makeup bag. Plus, it has an eye cream at the other end of the pen which leaves the under-eye area smooth and soft. What's not to like?
A foundation to suit dry AND greasy skin? An under eye pen that is a potential winner over my must-loved Touche Eclat? CT, you are my new makeup BFF.

With only 8 Fridays left until the big man arrives, I'm going to start to talk a little about Christmas.
Christmas is the season to be loving and giving and in true giving spirit, John Lewis have invited me to take part in their “Give with Love Campaign”; a twist on the seasonal classic, “Secret Santa”.
Who doesn't love presents, right?
I'll be paired with another fellow blogger, and given the task of choosing them a gift from John Lewis. I may have never met the blogger I'm paired with but, and I'm totally blowing my own trumpet here, I like to think I'm a good present picker.
I've only ever done Secret Santa at an old job before, and that was yonks ago. I can be fairly difficult to buy for - my loved ones will vouch for that! However, I reckon it will be pretty easy for whoever is paired with me - John Lewis have some amazing gifts. From their totally awesome beauty section, to their gorgeous stationary, beautiful homeware and hundreds of clothing brands - they have it all.
I'll let you know how I get on!
Another Wednesday, another edit. Since the clocks went back, it's been bloody nippy down here by the sea. My knitwear collection has been pulled out of storage, and although I'm attempting to try this capsule wardrobe thang, I can't resist a couple of cheeky new jumpers for the season.
The high street have got some great jumpers - above are the ones I'm currently lusting over. However there are so many more out there, and with pay day this weekend I know what I'll be shopping for.
We've got a good few months of this weather...that's my excuse anyway.
